Workshop ProposalI first fell in love with pottery while taking a ceramics class in high school. The love of creating clay forms helped me make the decision to be a professional artist. I was accepted at The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University based on my portfolio work. After leaving school I traveled around the country in a 1971 Pinto with extended stays in New York, Virginia, Wisconsin and Birmingham. I eventually settled in Atlanta, GA where I took a hiatus from pottery to pursue my love of technology and study Web site design and development. In 2008 I returned to the wheel to get "back down to Earth.” After 13 years of working in Atlanta I packed up my studio (partner and dogs) and made a new home and studio Portland, OR. My award-winning works have been shown in juried shows in the New York , Atlanta, and Macon, GA Metro areas including Fired Works and the Inman Park Festival. This on-line gallery is a place to view and purchase my works. I hope that you will enjoy them too.
